Product Description

This very hard to find Payne 200 is in excellent original condition. The rod has a black oxidized sliding band reel seat with a walnut spacer. The butt cap reads "Payne" in cartouche and the "Reg US Pat Off". The wood does have some scrached in it. The drip is a nice slim western 5 ¾. There is some soiling and minor riding on the cork. The winding check has a bit of tarnish. The wraps are a chestnut, gold, purple at the keeper and ferrules. While the guides are chestnut tipped gold. The ferrules retain almost all of the finish and go together well. The second section female ferrul was loose but was repaired by Fred Kretchman. All sections fit together very well and are tight. The tips are full length and straight. The rod weighs 4.35oz on my scale. Comes in the original tube and sock.
