An all-new reel for Redington, their Ace series of reels is ready to run the gamut from long days on your favorite brown trout river to even longer days spent working pods of tailing bonefish. The Ace features a cold-forged, fully-machined aluminum construction to ensure excellent durability, and to keep things as lightweight as they are durable, Redington utilizes a lattice-style porting that shaves material while providing excellent airflow to keep your backing dry. To stop hot fish, Redington uses an improved drag braking system, so whether you're putting the brakes to a chromed-out steelhead or carp in excess of 25 pounds, you have all of the stopping power that you need. Redington further increases performance through additions like a Drag Knob Guard, snap-fit spool lock, and a large arbor with a V-shape to ensure that you're never facing a jam up or dealing with backing issues. Made in four different models ranging in line weights 3 through 10, Redington's Ace Reels provide top-notch versatility at a modest price point that falls well under the $300 mark.

Large Arbor Design - From the pool boss on your local trout waters to a bull of a redfish, Redington knows that quickly getting your line back on your reel can make or break a fight with a trophy fish. For this reason, they've used a large arbor design that uses a V-Shaped arbor. This construction holds all of the backing you need while preventing it from stacking over itself. The Ace also focuses on keeping things nice and lightweight-this is achieved through a lattice-style porting that sheds excess material while also providing all of the airflow you need to keep your backing dry after a dunk in the drink.

Machined Aluminum - The Ace features a machined aluminum construction that's durable, lightweight, and ready to stand up to fresh and saltwater use for years. This aluminum goes through a cold-forged process to ensure excellent structural integrity across the lifetime of the reel.
Drag
Improved Braking System - Redington uses a new carbon fiber disc drag system for their Ace series. This drag has an improved braking system that has great stopping power. The drag knob also makes for easy handling and adjustment for those ad hoc moments when you need to tweak things to be just right.
Redington also integrates a handful of convenience-forward features to the Ace's drag like its Line Guard which prevents snags while making for a smooth experience as well as an upgraded clicker system that enhances feedback and increases the longevity of the clicker's lifespan.
Carbon Fiber Disc Drag - The Ace features a Carbon Fiber Disc Drag. This choice of materials gives you excellent stopping power while managing any heat buildup from a fast-running fish.
