Hareline Ringneck Pheasant Neck Patch

Hareline Ringneck Pheasant Neck Patch

Whether you're tying classic patterns to take to the Grand Cascapedia, or filling a steelhead box for the Skeena, Hareline's Ringneck Pheasant Neck Patch offers an affordable way to add a classic and exotic aesthetic to your flies. Ringneck Pheasant Neck Feathers come from the neck of a male ringneck pheasant. These webby feathers make for a great alternative to some of the more expensive feathers out there. With their wide range of brilliant colors, these feathers will apply to a variety of patterns. Each patch comes with a range of feathers in a ton of sizes, allowing you to tie flies both big and small.

Uses

Hareline's Ringneck Pheasant Neck Patch has feathers that are a great substitute for some of the more exotic feathers when tying traditional salmon/steelhead patterns. These feathers make excellent cheeks and wings, and with their webby properties, you can also use the fibers as tails or hackles on small streamers and nymph patterns.

Comparisons

Hareline made their Ringneck Pheasant Neck Patch as a substitute for more expensive and rare materials like Indian Crow. Because of this, there really isn't a great substitute for these feathers apart from sourcing the original feathers, which can be quite costly and difficult to find.
