A popular take on Frank Sawyer's long-standing Pheasant Tail Nymph, the Flashback Pheasant Tail Fly is a nymph that you can rely on any time of the year. Tied to imitate most mayfly nymphs, this fly adopts a construction that's very similar to the classic Pheasant Tail Nymph. Like the Pheasant Tail Nymph, this fly has a tail and body of pheasant tail fibers and a wound peacock thorax, but its construction differs with the addition of a flashback wingcase.
