Chocklett's Belly Foam

Chocklett's Belly Foam

Designed with master fly tier Blane Chocklett, Chocklett's Belly Foam is a prismatic foam that’s great for anything from Blane’s floating minnow patterns to some ultra-realistic terrestrial patterns. Chocklet's Belly Foam is made in two separate colors and is 3mm thick, which is the perfect size to create most small to medium-bodied baitfish. A material that’s useful in both fresh and saltwater situations, you’ll find that Chockletts Belly Foam adds that extra bit of realism that can often make or break a day on the water.

Uses

Chockletts' Belly Foam was initially designed to be used in Blane’s Gummy Changer pattern. Belly Foam works incredibly well for this purpose and allows you to really dial in the shine of most small to medium-sized baitfish. And although this material was created with streamers in mind, it also does a fine job when being worked into terrestrials and some popper patterns like Gurglers and Crease Flies.

Comparisons

Loco Foam is another similar foam material that comes in a wide range of pearlescent and metallic colors. Aside from the fact that Loco Foam comes in many more colors than Chockletts Belly Foam, the main difference between these two is that Loco Foam is 2mm thick and Belly Foam is 3mm thick, so if you want something a little thick, it’s best to go with Chockletts Belly Foam.

Example Flies

The most popular pattern that uses Chockletts Belly Foam is the Gummy Changer.
